The NUJ chairman said that Ortom’s re-election was not only well deserved, but also an honour bestowed on him by the Benue people for all he has done so far.

“Sir, your firm stand on the anti-open grazing law and other achievements earned you the victory. It is our firm belief that your second tenure will put an end to the unprovoked killings of Benue farmers by suspected herders and provide more security to the people of the state in order for them to go about their lawful activities.

“As a union, we assure you of our unflinching support, especially in the area of publicizing activities of the government and we will continue to set agenda for the success of your administration for growth and development of the state,” she said.
