The Governorship election in Bauchi State has been declared inconclusive by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Kyari Mohammed, Returning Officer for the elections in the state who declared the election inconclusive said the margin between the two leading candidates was less than the number of cancelled votes.

According to the results, Bala Mohammed of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 469, 512 votes, while the incumbent governor, Mohammed Abubakar, scored 465, 453 votes.
The candidate of the PDP scored 4, 059 votes higher than the incumbent governor.
