In every election, corpers are used by the electoral body as ad-hoc staff to facilitate the process.

This year was no exception. For the Presidential and National Assembly elections originally scheduled for today, Saturday, February 16, INEC had deployed corp members to various locations across the states for the usually election duties.

Sadly, no consideration was given to their comfort shown by the photos here.
Beyond condemning the dehumanising treatment meted out to the corps members, some question need to be asked, was their no budgetary allocation to take care of the corpers? Did INEC forget ? If money was allocated to take care of them, what then happened? Does INEC still expect these corpers to still make themselves available next week for the election?
