Fashola Photographic Foundation (FPF) has partnered with the Lagos Photo Festival, a foremost international festival of photography to showcase winner of its yearly contest, Lagos-based budding photographer, Ebunoluwa Akinbo.
The official opening of the Festival tagged: ‘The Passing of Time” was held at the Federal Government Press, Broad Street, Lagos.
The festival runs from October 27 to November 15.
Meanwhile, Akinbo’s works are among works currently showing at the Mike Adenuga Centre, Ikoyi.

This year’s edition features works from over 20 photographers some of whom include Abosede George, Adji Dieye, Alfredo Jaar, Amanda Iheme, Emmanuekke Andrianjafy and Ismail Bahri.
Akinbo believed to be one of the emerging talents to watch out for has been singled out for her passion, her vision for eye-catching scenes and compelling narratives.
A statement by thee organisers of the visual fest said, “LagosPhoto is pleased to Partner with the Fashola Photographic Foundation to showcase a body of work shot by emerging Lagos based photographer Ebunoluwa Akinbo. Akinbo combines her background in Sociology with photography to create visually compelling stories with strong narratives.”
“Time Has Gone,” the 9th edition of LagosPhoto Festival, explores the configurations by which the past, the present and the future interact within the photographic medium. Time will be approached from different angles, highlighting matters of momentum, documentation and preservation, taking into consideration the intimacy of stories as well as the breadth of the concept itself,” it added.
