The Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, surprised many at the convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abuja, on Saturday as he walked in with Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
They were together at the event.
Sanwo-Olu, it would be recalled, trounced Ambode at the party’s governorship primary in Lagos.
Ambode who had expected that he would be given overwhelming support for a second term was embittered and he made that known.

At the end of the day, he succumbed and congratulated Sanwo-Olu.
Ambode was also at the event with the national leader of the party, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, believed to have sponsored Sanwo-Olu against him.
