BREAKING: APC guber primary: Sanwo-Olu takes the lead

Results so far released from the ongoing APC guber primary in Lagos State shows the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, losing to his challenger, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

At ward c, Alausa, Ikeja, the seat of government, Ambode scored four votes while his opponent, the Managing Director of the Lagos State Property Development Company (LSPDC), scored 960 votes.

The result was announced by Olanrewaju Yahaya, the electoral officer on charge of the ward.

Alausa houses the office of the governor, the state Secretariat as well as the state house of assembly.

Reports from Agbado/Oke-Odo local council development area, also show Sanwo-Olu thrashing Ambode. He polled 13,380, to the governor’s 115 votes.
