NBA: Saraki congratulates Usoro over emergence as president

Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Mr. Paul Usoro, SAN, on his emergence as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association.

In a tweet he sent on Tuesday, Saraki said:  “Congratulations @PaulUsoroSAN, on your election as the President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA). I wish you a successful tenure as you work to promote and protect human rights, the rule of law, and good governance in Nigeria — through the NBA.”

He was declared winner in the contest for the position.

His emergence was announced by the chairman of the electoral committee, Auwalu Yadudu.

Usoro defeated Okafor Obi and Ernest Ojukwu.

While Usoro won with 4,509 votes, Obi recorded 4,423 votes while Ojukwu recorded 3,313 votes.
