The Speaker of Kano State House of Assembly, Abdullahi Ata, has been removed from office.
He was replaced by Al Hassan Rurum.
Ata’s removal followed a motion to that effect by the member representing constituency, Labaran Madari.
The members of the House of Assembly on Monday resumed from a two months recess.
It would be recalled that the impeachment move against Ata started in May.
