The Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, has been called upon to show the people of the state the way in the current political setting.

This is as the Governor of Akwa Ibom State has been praised for the giant strides he has taken in the area of industrialisation since he assumed office.

A former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Chris Ekpenyong, made the remarks on Monday at the endorsement ceremony for  Akpabio and Emmanuel by stakeholders at Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, Akwa Ibom.

“Senator Godswill Akpabio show us the way. Senator Godswill Akpabio show us the way,” said Ekpenyong who is chairing the occasion.

On Emmanuel, Ekpeyong said Emmanuel was not only an in law to Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District but a worthy kin of the people too.

He said the gathering was to endorse him for a second term.

“This stadium has hosted the big and the mighty including former governors, presidents and top government functionaries.

“We want to endorse Governor Emmanuel for the second term under the platform of the PDP.”

Commending him for his industrialisation drive, Ekpeyong urged the people to support him.

He appealed to the governor to site industries in the area to create jobs and cause development.
