The Nigeria Police will, this afternoon (Sunday), parade the most wanted kidnapper in the country, Chukwudubem Onwuamadike, popularly called Evans.

Evans was arrested in one of his houses at the highbrow Magodo area of Lagos State on Saturday at about 1.00 p.m.by the Inspector General of Police’ (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT).

It was gathered that the police had been looking for him for about five years.

Acting on a tip off, the police surrounded his house at Magodo where he ran to the roof for emergency exit before the police caught him.

Most wanted kidnapper, Evans

 

Described as the most brilliant, richest and crafty kidnapper in the country’s history, he was said to be responsible for many high profile kidnapping cases.

In a report in The Nation on Sunday, he was said to have confessed to investigators about his flamboyant lifestyle.

He told the police that he had two houses in Magodo.

According to him, while he bought one for N130 million, the second went for N70 million.

In his confession, he was said to have disclosed that he bought a wristwatch for $170,000 and three mobile phones worth $6000 each.

He also has a house in Ghana.

A native of Umudim, Nnewi in Anambra State, four AK47 rifles and over 50 magazines were recovered from his house.

It would be recalled that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, had announced N30 million bounty for anyone with useful information that could lead to Evans arrest.
