The tenure of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, John Odigie-Oyegun, has been extended by one year by the National Executive Council (NEC).
The extension takes effect from June this year.
The National Working Committee (NWC) and other executives also have their tenure extended by one year.
The decision is part of the outcome of the meeting of the party held at its headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday.
Present at the occasion were President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Odigie-Oyegun and other party chieftains.
Conspicuously absent were the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara.
It would be recalled that Saraki was also absent at the Presidential Villa on Monday when President Muhammadu Buhari hosted the APC caucus at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
