The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has stressed the need for motorists to drive more cautiously in recent time.
The warning came in view of the change in weather conditions in most parts of the country.
According to the corps Public Education Officer, Mr. Bisi Kazeem, in a statement on Sunday, the southern parts of the country were experiencing shades of cloudy and foggy conditions.
In the northern and central states, the weather, he said, had been partly sunny and hazy during the morning hours with dust haze conditions in the evenings.

He said in view of the reduction in the level of visibility, it was imperative for motorists to be more careful.
His words: “It is imperative for motorists to drive carefully, and to be mindful of their blind-spots while overtaking…
“They should put on headlights and tail lights for proper visibility due to the foggy weather so as to see and be seen.
“Most parts of the country are affected with more critical situations around the northern axis.”
Kazeem, in the statement, quoted the Corps Marshal, Dr Boboye Oyeyemi, as saying that it was the time for vehicles to meet the minimum safety standards.
