Female or Male Child: What's your preference?

Eweama Ogechi: I don’t think having a child, male or female attaches any preference! Because ıt doesn’t matter, the important thing is having a healthy baby.

Female or Male Child: What's your preference?

Iyke Xtian: Absolutely there mustn’t be an opinion like this. It doesn’t matter because a child is a child whether female or male provided he or she is trained to be useful to himself or herself, his/her family, country and the world! He/she must be hardworking, smart, must be of good value for his/her parents.

Female or Male Child: What's your preference?

Nsisongabasi Umoh: In some African countries, most of the people would prefer to have a boy for some reasons. For instance, some people still believe that a girl child is likely to bring shame to the family if she gets pregnant outside of wedlock. But it’s not only a girl that brings shame to the family. Boys also misbehave. But the society does not hold it against them. What a world!

Female or Male Child: What's your preference?

Emuche Nnaji: To me the girl child and the boy child are equal. There is no need for discrimination towards the gender.

Female or Male Child: What's your preference?

Sylvia Oqua: My belief is that, a child in any form should be acceptable to the parents & society rather than placing priority on gender; I feel having a healthy child is what one should be praying for.

Female or Male Child: What's your preference?

Zephyr Splendour: Both boy and girl children have their own unique things. You can be rough with boys from the start and teach them to be strong while you dress girls up. I will be blessed to have either of them, but there are stereotypical things to do with each gender.

Both sexes are equal and important in their own rights. No gender is better than the other. All children must be treated equally with equal opportunities.
