Nollywood veteran Pete Edochie is marking his 75th birthday today, March 7, 2022.

He attended a church for a special thanksgiving accompanied by some of his colleagues in the industry.

The award winning actor expressed his gratitude to God in a video on his Instagram page for keeping him as his age is not a small number.

He was also thankful that his faculties are still complete, despite his age.

His son, Yul Edochie who is also an actor took to his Twitter account to celebrate his father and share a photo of them.

He tweeted, “The most handsome 75yr old man alive. My man. I couldn’t have asked for a better father. Strong man. Legend.
Happy 75th birthday to you Dad. Chief Pete Edochie. @peteedochie (MON) Ebubedike 1 of Africa.

Pete Edochie was born in Enugu State in the South Eastern region of Nigeria though originally from Nteje in Oyi Local Government Anambra State.

He came into the acting limelight in the early 1980s after he played a lead role with the name Okonkwo from Chinua Achebe’s “Things Fall Apart” screen adaptation.

Since then, he has starred in numerous movies including Lion of Africa, Idemili, Evil Men, Full Moon, Narrow Escape, Egg of Life, Living in Darkness, Billionaires Club.
