Nigerian wrestling champion, Power Uti, has been arrested by the police over the death of his wife, Toyin.

Toyin was reported to have died at Uti’s Ilupeju, Lagos, residence.

Toyin, 38, had been married to Uti for ten years and bore four children who are under the age of nine.

She was unemployed as at the time of her death.

Uti was said to have taken her to a spiritual home instead of a hospital upon discovery of her death.

Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, Famous Cole confirmed the detention of Uti at the Ilupeju Police Station.

He added that he would be transferred to Criminal Investigative Department, Panti, in Lagos.
