Cancellation of tour by the hip pop group notwithstanding, most fans believe that the noise about the break-up of P-Square is publicity stunt to boost sales for a new song.

Most tweets by fans express this sentiment, with some even reminding that this is not the first time the twins would break up, only to re-unite and announce the introduction of a hit song into the market.

For example, in his tweet @Femifactor says: “Almost every year, Peter and Paul, P-Square, pull the same publicity stunt on Nigerians and we fall for it”.

Another fan, Chiasowom Opara, in her tweet from @lady_purity, says: ““Since P-Square does not want to stop this madness, fly away Peter, fly away Paul, don’t come 2 Igbo boys and release a song.”

@Tobykelechi is even more sarcastic: “ We know you want to drop new song. Just drop it and stop wasting our time,” he tweeted.

@kvngCozee tweets: “Peter and Paul Okoye should know their breaking-up don’t shake us any more.. We are more focused on settling Wizkid and Damilola.”

@Hisroyaldopenez tweets : “Quarrel by the middle of the year, settle towards the end of the year. Drop a song. Repeat.”

@ Gistreel, however, tweets : “ Paul Okoye confirms cancellation of P-Square’s U.S./Canada tour following new fight.”
