The PDP State Assistant Party Youth Leader 2 in Akwa Ibom State, Comr. Usenmfon Ibanga, on Saturday May 22, 2021, hosted the youths of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District at his residence in Uyo.

Addressing the youths , the covener, Comr. Ibanga  said the meeting became necessary in order to create a platform for the youths  in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District  to chart the way forward for the District in particular, the State and the party at large.

Comrade Ibanga said the event would also enable him as the Youth Leader of the party in the State representing Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District to receive inputs from the youths for an effective representation.

He commended Gov. Udom Emmanuel for his visionary leadership in steering the affairs of the State while reaffirming his loyalty to PDP and commitment to the party’s successes.

He also siezed  the opportunity to eulogize the PDP National Legal Adviser, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, he described him as  a selfless leader with a very large heart who has done so much for the masses , especially the youths.

He added that through Barr. Enoidem’s benevolence many  youths have been impacted and many have risen to positions of prominence, avering that he is a beneficiary of his benevolence.

Speaking further, he said it’s time for the people to pay him back for all his good deeds, by rallying round  and giving  him the needed support to represent the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District come 2023 , as he remains the best product for the top job.

Speaking at event, Joseph Jim, the PDP Youth Leader, Etim Ekpo chapter, said Barr. Enoidem deserved the support of everybody, having been supporting people for different political offices, saying it was also time to pay him back.

Going Biblically, Jim said “he who waters must be watered,” while  calling for a motion to be moved for the adoption of Barr. Enoidem as a sole candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.

Responding in this regard, motion for the  adoption of Barr. Enoidem as  the sole candidate for Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District come 2023 was moved by Miss Wisdom Enang, Councilor representing Etim Ekpo Ward 4, and was duly seconded by Edemekong Aniefiok Christopher, a former Councillor in Essien Udim LGA and currently an SA to gov. Udom Emmanuel on Project Monitoring.

Highpoint of the meeting was the declaration of unalloyed loyalty to PDP, total support for Gov. Udom Emmanuel for his completion agenda, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem for Senate 2023 by the youths of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District.

Present in the meeting were the Coordinator PDP  Chapter Youth Leaders, Akwa Ibom State, all the PDP Chapter Youth Leaders in Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District, some councillors in the Senatorial District, and  Youth Leaders across the Senatorial District.
