The Governor stated that though he tested negative for COVID-19 on December 14, 2020, the fact that some of his close aides tested positive has made it imperative that he goes into isolation as the protocol on curbing the virus demands.

He said according to medical experts, the second phase of the pandemic is deadlier and, therefore, requires the collaboration of everyone to contain it.

Governor Ortom emphasized that COVID-19 is real and, therefore, urged
people to take preventive measures such as physical distancing, wearing of face masks, washing of hands with soap and the use of sanitizers as precautionary measures to beat the virus.
