Controversies over zonning arrangement within the Delta state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) was on Tuesday put to rest by the state chairman of the party, Barr Kingsley Esiso who insisted that the party would uphold the zonning arrangement.
Barr Esiso, however, dismissed insinuations that the party was allegedly extorting its members, saying such allegation was unfounded.
Esiso who spoke to Journalists in Asaba said Delta Central Senatorial District would produce the next Governor of the state come 2023, insisting that the party’s hierarchy would maintain the governorship zonning formula among the three senatorial districts.
He said, “the next Governor will come from Delta Central as arranged by the party, inspired by Chief James Ibori and other elders and leaders of the party, all these will be for 2023 and it will never be changed.”

He appreciated all the party leaders and members for the sustainable peace in the party both at the local government and the state levels.
He also advised all candidates contesting for Chairmanship and Councillorship positions in 2021 Council elections to do their consultation in peace, disclosing that new members into the party would enjoy equal rights like old members.
