Abductors Of Benue School Proprietor Demand N10m Ransom

The abductors of the proprietor of Excel Grace Secondly School, Akaajime, Gboko, Pastor Emmanuel Apeh have demanded a ransom of 10 million naira before they will release him.

Apeh was abducted by unknown gunmen on Thursday night, August 27, 2020 in his Church at about 8:p.m , in Akaajime, Gboko, Benue state.

Wife of the victim, Mrs. Christiana Apeh, who confirmed the incident to newsmen disclosed that the kidnappers came pretending to be participants of the ongoing church crusade.

She stated further that after the church programme, the gunmen followed him to his car and started shooting sporadically in the air to scare people away and forced him on a motorcycle to unknown destination.

Mrs. Apeh who was visibly shaken said this was the second time her husband was being kidnapped and appealed for his quick release saying he was sick.

Wife to the victim also said, the abductors called after four hours and demanded for ransom of ten million naira.

An eye witness, and a church member, Miss Che Manka said, “the two armed gunmen ordered the victim at gunpoint to follow them to the main road where they parked their motorcycles after several attempts to force him into his car failed.

Police spokesperson Kate Anene , a DSP, confirmed the incident.
