Ondo Teacher Gets Life Imprisonment For Defiling 10-year-old Girl

A former teacher, Omotayo Adanlawo, is to spend the rest of his life in prison for defiling a 10-year-old girl, an Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure, ruled on Friday.

Adanlawo was arrested by the men of the state police command for committing the crime at Iju town, in the Akure North Local Government Area of the state in 2018.

Delivering judgment on Friday, the trial judge, Justice Samuel Bola, held that the defendant failed to give convincing evidence and testimony to prove his innocence and consequently sentenced him to life imprisonment.
