The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 290 additional cases of COVID-19 in the country.

The new cases confirmed on Monday have brought the total number of COVID-19 infections in Nigeria to 46,867.
The health agency also announced that five persons died from disease on Monday, thus bringing the total fatalities to 950.
On the positive side, the body announced that the number of patients successfully managed and discharged across the country has risen to 33,346.
Meanwhile, the NCDC said the new infections were reported from 15 states and Abuja as follows – Lagos (82), Plateau (82), Oyo (19), FCT (18), Edo (16), Kaduna (15), Enugu (9), Ogun (9), Kano (8), Kwara (8), Cross River (5), Ondo (5), Rivers (5), Ekiti (4), Imo (3) and Borno (2).
