Liverpool gets green light go on with the plan of signing top Chelsea target after major development as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is said to favour a move to Liverpool over Chelsea.

Arsenal have given Liverpool the green card to sign England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to the Daily Mirror as multiple contract offers from Arsenal has been rejected by the player as he pushes for a move to a rival Premier League club.

Chelsea, the reigning champions, appeared set to sign the 24-year-old after they agreed a £35million fee with Arsenal earlier in the week.

But Oxlade-Chamberlain is said to have his heart set on a move to Anfield to work under Jurgen Klopp and therefore rejected Chelsea’s advances.

The Daily Mirror say that despite long-running history of bad blood between Arsenal and Liverpool, the Gunners are prepared to sell the England star to Klopp’s charge.

It is claimed Arsenal have decided to move Oxlade-Chamberlain on rather than keep him at the club for his final year and are ready to come to an agreement with Liverpool.
