Anambra guber election: Obaze wins PDP ticket

Oseloka Obaze has won the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ticket for Anambra State governorship election.

His election came barely a day after Tony Nwoye, a member of the House of Representatives, emerged the All Progressives Congress, APC, candidate in the state.

Obaze recorded 672 votes, defeating the chairman of Capital Oil, Ifeanyi Ubah and Senator Stella Oduah, who represents Anambra North.

No fewer than 958 party delegates participated in the election.

The governorship election in Anambra State is slated for November 18 and promises to be a great contest, particularly between the PDP and APC.
