Arida Relief Foundation, an NGO, said it had distributed palliatives to over 3000 households in Kaduna to reduce the effect of the Coronavirus lockdown in the state.
President of the foundation, Mrs. Rabi Salisu told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday that the distribution has been ongoing for the past five days to compliment government efforts.
Salisu said that Mararaba Jos area of the state was the first beneficiary with over 500 households, while 200 households at NDC area equally benefited from the gesture.

According to her, other areas that benefited from the food assistance include, Jaji, which has lots of physically challenged people, Kawo, Hayin Banki, Badiko and other across Kaduna.
She said that the foundation would extend the gesture to registered orphanage homes in the state, since its objective was to cater for the needy and less privileged in the society.
