Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has urged Muslims in the state to use the Ramadan period to seek the face of Allah for His intervention to end the COVID-19 pandemic .

The governor gave the charge in a statement issued in Akure on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary, Segun Ajiboye.

He urged Muslims to see government’s directives aimed at curtailing COVID-19 as a sacrifice, reminding them to avoid large gatherings, practise social distancing and observe their prayers in their homes.

Akeredolu enjoined them to remember the victims of the virus and the health workers in the frontline of the battle against COVID-19 as he called for prayers and support in these trying times.
