Buhari Mourns Victims Of Borno IDPs Fire, Orders Investigation

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with victims of the fire incident at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Borno State.

This is as he directed the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to investigate and report the circumstances that led to the fire incident.

The President in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Thursday described the fire incident as “extremely horrifying.”

Buhari directed that urgently needed assistance should be given immediately to the victims.

He also asked the ministry to advise on how to avert future occurrence of such incidents.

President Buhari prayed the Almighty God to grant repose to the souls of those whose died in the fire and quick recovery to the injured.
