The Police Command in Zamfara on Sunday said it has deployed another police unit to Magami village in Maradun local government area following an attack on Saturday by bandits who killed some people.
The unit, according to a statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Mohammed Shehu in Gusau on Sunday, obtained by the Next Edition, comprises Police Mobile Force, Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU) and the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS)
The statement noted the additional unit would complement efforts of the police and other security operatives already on ground.

While commiserating with family members of those killed by the bandits, Shehu disclosed that the additional team were already on ground in the area and had joined in the trail of the attackers adding that all security agencies in the state would continue to work jointly until lasting peace was attained.
Meanwhile, reports say that the burial of those killed in the attack was witnessed by the acting governor of the state, Sanusi Rikiji, security chiefs in the state, traditional rulers and other sympathizers on Sunday afternoon.
