Some details have been released on how President Muhammadu Buhari’s son, Yusuf, had accident on his bike in which he broke a limb and sustained a head injury.

According to reports in the Daily Trust and the Daily Nigerian, Yusuf was riding in the Gwarimpa area of Abuja with his best friend, Bashir Gwandu, who was on another bike.

The two riders were at the time of the accident being trailed by a security vehicle giving cover to the president’s son.

According to the report by the newspapers, Yusuf Buhari was trying to overtake his friend when he lost control.

Their bikes, it was said, collided and resulted in the crash.

Their bikes somersaulted and both Yusuf and his friend were unconscious on the floor before they were picked up and taken to the hospital for treatment.

Gwandu is also said to be in the same hospital receiving treatment.

“The accident happened when Yusuf was trying to overtake Gwandu. They collided and somersaulted.

 “They lay unconscious there for a while before permission was sought to take them to the hospital,” said the source quoted.

Meanwhile, “Subhanallah!!!!” was the expression of shock by Hanan over the bike accident his brother, Yusuf, was involved in.

Hanan is President Muhammadu Buhari’s daughter.

Her exclamation formed the caption of the picture showing the wreckage of the bike Yusuf rode on before having the accident.

Hanan displayed the picture of the wreckage on his Facebook account.

Yusuf Buhari, was involved in a bike accident on Tuesday.

He has since been operated upon at a clinic in Abuja and his condition is said to be stable.

The development has attracted messages of sympathy from prominent Nigerians, including former President Goodluck Jonathan; former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and the Senate President, Bukola Saraki.
