Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodinma on Monday night hit hard on his political rival and disqualified Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Ifeanyi Ararume describing his attempt to return to the Senate as desperate, saying he lacked the morals for the hallowed chamber.
Uzodinma, who spoke in a statement by his SA on New and Electronic Media Mrs. Nneamaka Okafor, was recting to an earlier attack on him by Ararume.
He denied allegations of anti-party activity levelled against him by the former senator.
The statement read: “It is unfortunate that a man who lacks the moral grounds to accuse Gov. Hope Uzodimma is boldly doing so without shame and we therefore urge Ifeanyi Ararume to rescind on his desperate ambition to go back to the Senate and work with Sir. Frank Ibezim for the progress of Okigwe North People.

“Sen. Ifeanyi Ararume as a matter of fact should apologize to Gov. Hope Uzodimma for this baseless accusation of anti-party and supporting the PDP as we know that none of them are the truth as it is one of the desperate moves to smear the high priced integrity of Gov. Hope Uzodimma.
“Gov. Hope Uzodimma will continue to be a loyal party man and won’t stop at nothing to see the party win in future elections in the state and the country at large.”
