Immediately after the game ended, video clips which have circulated online show Maradona being led by some men into a VIP room of the stadium.
The Argentine legend has a history of drug abuse.
Many feel that his behaviour last night during the game may not be unconnected with drug abuse.
It would be recalled that 24 years ago, the former Napoli skipper failed a doping test after playing against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the World Cup in USA.
That was his last international game as he was given a life ban by FIFA.
However, reports from St. Petersberg in Russia are that Maradona is in a stable condition.
