Two persons were injured in the fire incident which broke out in a storey building behind Tejuosho Market in Yaba, Lagos on Thursday.
The Director General of LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, who disclosed this, said that the fire, which was caused by power surge, was put out by rescue officials and Lagos State Fire Service.
He explained that the fire started from one of the rooms before escalating to other parts of the building.

The LASEMA boss noted that the intensity of the fire led to physical cracks on the building.
He, however, said that no life was lost in the incident but that two male adult sustained injuries.
The Tejuosho market fire is coming barely two weeks after two separate fire incidents at Balogun market and Okobaba market, both in the Lagos Island area of the state.
