Rev. Peter Gambo, who was travelling with the late chairman, spoke on the accident:

“We parked to buy drugs, the CAN chairman too came out and stood at the back of our Toyota Hilux van when suddenly a truck came from behind and crushed him.

“I am still in shock over the incident, but I have come to terms with the fact that God knows best,” he said.

He disclosed that Governor Darius Ishaku sent a delegation to Zing which helped to evacuate the corpse to Jalingo.

The corpse had since been deposited in the morgue of the State Specialist Hospital, Jalingo.

Ubeh was elected CAN chairman in Taraba in 2016.

He was the General Overseer of Army of God Glorious Ministries.

Gambo said the burial burial arrangements for the late CAN chairman would be announced later.
