Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Benue state, Mr. John Ngbede, has enjoined members of the party to remain steadfast and not be distracted by the activities of the opposition.

Ngbede stated this in reaction to the decision by the Supreme Court to postpone hearing in the matter challenging the victory of Governor Samuel Ortom at the 2019 elections brought before it by Emmanuel Jime and the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a statement signed by the party’s State Publicity Secretary, Bemgba Iortyom, the Chairman assured the party members that the victory handed to Governor Ortom and other PDP candidates at the 2019 elections was emphatic and comprehensive as well as it was credible.

Ngbede said he sees no cause for any alarm resulting from happenings at the apex court on Tuesday and enjoined members of the party not to pay heed to any antics being done by the opposition, since they are of no consequence.

The Chairman, a 2015 Deputy Governorship Candidate of party in the state expressed optimism that Governor Samuel Ortom’s victory at the 2019 polls will be affirmed by the apex court when it finally entertains the matter at a yet to be announced date.
