The Supreme Court has fixed judgement for the Sokoto Governorship election appealfor Monday, January 20, 2020.

The apex court had suspended the hearing of the appeal filed by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ahmed Aliyu, on
Tuesday over the inability of the security operatives to control the crowd and the noise level in the court.

In addition to Sokoto state, the Supreme Court also adjourned ruling in the governorship petitions for Bauchi, Benue, Kano, and Plateau.

Meanwhile the seven member panel of justices led by the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Tanko Muhammad, nullified the election of Emeka Ihedioha of the Peoples Democratic Party as the governor of Imo state and declared his challenger, Hope Uzodinma of the All
Progressives Congress winner.
