The Super Falcons beat the shipolopolo of Zambia 4-0 on Wednesday in Cape Coast, Ghana, to remain in the reckoning at the ongoing African Women Cup of Nation, AWCON.
The defending champion lost their opening match with the Bayana Bayana of South Africa on Sunday.
Desire Okparanozie scored the first goal for Nigeria in the 42nd minute of the game which ended 1-0 at half time.
Francesca Ordega raised the score line for Nigeria a few minutes into the second half. Nigeria’s third goal came from Rasheedat Ajibade while substitute Amarachi Okoronkwo sealed it for Nigeria with the fourth goal.

The win puts Nigeria at the head of Group B table for now ahead of the South Africa versus Equatorial Guinea match which comes up later in the day.
The Falcons will play Equatorial Guinea in their final group match on Saturday, while the Shepolopolo will face South Africa on the same day.
The group’s top two teams will move on to the semi-finals.
