The hope of Nigeria qualifying for the Nations Cup billed to hold in Cameroon next summer brightened on Saturday as the Super Eagles defeated Seychelles.
The match which was played in Victoria, Seychelles, ended 3-0 .
The goals were scored by Ahmed Musa, Chidozie Awaziem and Odion Ighalo.
Ighalo converted a second half penalty to a goal.
The performance of the Super Eagles was impressive.
Samuel Kalu, newly introduced into the team by Gernot Rohr impressed all, but did not score.
Turkey-based Onyekuru and Semiu Ajayi featured in the second half of the match.

Meanwhile, South Africa and Libya’s match ended goalless.
The two teams have four points each with Libya on top.
The Super Eagles has three points and will meet Libya.
Seychelles will meet South Africa next.
The date and venue of the Nigeria-Libya match is not yet known.
