The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has begun clampdown on speed limit device defaulters in Anambra State.
FRSC Sector Commander in the state, Mr. Sunday Ajayi, made this known in Awka.
According to him, the clampdown which started on October 9 would last a week.
The clampdown is preceded by a directive early in the year by the FRSC to vehicle owners to install speed limit device.

“The checks had commence with the commercial motorists for now and anyone who defaults must face the law,’’ Ajayi said.
He said that the Corps had commenced nationwide checks since April, pointing out that no motorist would have any excuse for not complying.
He disclosed that no fewer than 200 offenders had been arrested by the command within the first three days of the exercise.
According to him, the commission remained committed to ensuring safety.
He therefore urged the people of the state and Nigerians in general to comply with traffic rules.
