Sowore: DSS Assaults Journalists, Protesters

Operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, Tuesday brutalised many protesters demanding the release of the convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, Omoyele Sowore.

The protesters led by the convener of Concerned Nigerians, Deji Adeyanju, had gathered some metres away from the headquarters of the DSS for their protest when operatives of the Service arrived and shot in the air to disperse them.

Many journalists were among those brutalised. The Guardian’s Richard Oludare and the Sun Newspaper’s Correspondent who were covering the protest were thoroughly beaten and bruised.
