Singer Timaya Finally Breaks Silence On Hit And Run Incident

Nigerian singer Timaya who was accused of hitting a lady with his car and running has finally said something concerning the incident.

A woman claiming to be the victim’s sister called him out on Instagram on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 and alleged that he hit her sister’s car and absconded instead of doing the needful.

The singer was arrested the following day by operatives of the Nigerian police.

In an Instagram live on Thursday, March 3, 2022, Timaya recounted what happened. According to him, he mistakenly hit the lady’s car and had stopped to collect her number so he could pay for damages.

He said he quickly drove off after seeing four aggressive looking men running towards his car. The lady who thought he was trying to get away held on to his side mirror causing her fall and injuries sustained.

He explained that he had no prior intentions of just running away. He also added that he is back home and ready to pay for the damages to the lady’s car and her medical bills.
