Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, who has been in police custody in Uganda alongside Omah Lay has embarked on a hunger strike to protest their continued detention.

In a video posted online while having a conversation with a female Ugandan official, she said she hasn’t eaten anything in the past 24 hours and would not eat in the next 48 hours.

She has not stated any reasons for this action but social media users are speculating that she is scared of being poisoned.
