Singer and now make-up mogul is the cover girl for the September’s issue of Allure Magazine.

The current issue is the Allure Best of Beauty edition and Rihanna is featured as her cosmetics line, Fenty Beauty, just turned one year this month.

The cover sees the stars covered in the blinding highlighters that Fenty Beauty is known for and on one particular picture she has glitter even on her tongue.

Fayose to EFCC: Putting me on criminal watch list is petty

In just a year of existence, Fenty Beauty changed the conversation on shade range by cosmetics brands by launching 40 shades of Foundation with an impressive dark range.

According to the star, inclusivity was one of her priorities when creating the line.

The bar was raised with their very first launch and this became the benchmark for other brands.

Fenty Beauty has gone on to have other successful launches expanding the line to include lip products as well as eye shadows and other products.

For the Allure shoot, the magazine asked five of her biggest admirers to send in letters about how they feel about Rihanna, her music and Fenty Beauty.

Some of the comments read:

Cynde Watson, makeup-brand founder:  Rihanna, I truly commend your fearlessness and passion to continue the amazing fight to normalize inclusivity in the beauty industry. To be fair, there are a few key makeup brands that I recognize and appreciate from “back in the day” whose missions were and still are to celebrate multiple skin tones, but I credit you for breaking boundaries and shaking things up in today’s beauty space with your intense conviction and celebrity influence. You are inspiring consumers, retailers, and future beauty brands to think globally and recognize that all skin tones matter. And that’s a beautiful thing.

Ateh Jewel, writer and blogger:  So, when I saw your campaign with its collective of powerful women of all shades, backgrounds, and religions, I shed a tear. My twin daughters are seven, and they are of mixed heritage with lighter skin and looser curls. The world is changing for them. At three, they used to cry that they wanted yellow hair like Elsa from Frozen. Now when we walk into beauty halls together, they see faces that look like them shining down and they feel proud and accepted.

The star is not just creating make up. Just last month she released a limited edition highlighter where 100% of sales went to the Clara and Lionel Foundation, an NGO founded by Rihanna in 2012 in honour of her grandparents, Clara and Lionel Braithwaite.

The foundation supports and funds ground breaking and effective education, health and emergency response programmes improving the quality of lives around the globe.
