The former Lagos State Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Setonji Koshedo, has promised to remain in the leading opposition party despite the recent challenges facing the party in Lagos State.

It could be recalled that the former chairman of the party in the state, Hon. Moshood Adegoke Salvador, this week announced his defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the leading opposition party.

“I don’t blame anybody for leaving the party, because we have different types of leaders. While some leaders have the ability to confront challenges, others cannot,” he said.

Though the former party chairman claimed that the exit of Salvador would not affect the party negatively, he said the fortune of the party in the state depended on who would succeed him as the chairman.

On the large number of people aspiring to be president of the country under the platform of the party, Koshedo said it was not a difficult thing for the party as it had the mechanism of handling the matter to the satisfaction of every stakeholder.

He stated that despite what was happening at the moment, PDP remained the most democratic party in the country.
