Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, popularly known as Rudeboy, has encouraged women to support their husbands financially, saying shared responsibilities build strength, value, and balance in relationships.

The renowned singer and songwriter gave the advice on his social media platforms, stressing the importance of partnership, mutual respect, and support between couples in sustaining a healthy relationship.

According to him, while men are traditionally expected to provide financially for their families, it is uplifting to see women step in occasionally to handle some responsibilities.

He added that he personally felt excited and proud when a woman handled certain household expenses, even though the duty was culturally expected of men in many societies.

Rudeboy believed this simple gesture from women contributed significantly to unity, balance, and emotional harmony between couples, strengthening their bond and mutual understanding.

“I know men are meant to do everything, but the biggest flex is when your woman, once in a while, takes care of some things… that’s a massive flex,” he wrote.

Rudeboy is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and former member of the famous music duo P-Square, which disbanded in 2016 after years of massive success across Africa.

He is widely known for his energetic stage performances and his unique blend of Afrobeat, R&B, and hip-hop, according to the African Music Library and Planity.

His 2024 highlights include the release of his music video “Billion,” which gained more than 2 million views, and the public unveiling of his daughter, Princess, in January.

Rudeboy also made headlines in August for supporting a potential P-Square reunion with Flavour and released “Kingrudy Billions,” which garnered 5 million views in two weeks on YouTube. (NAN)
