Plateau State recorded 186 COVID-19 cases on Wednesday as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 593 new infections across the country.
Lagos followed on the table with 172 cases.
The new cases were reported from 15 states and Abuja.

Meanwhile, the new infections have raised the total number of cases in the country to 50,488.
The NCDC which announced the new figures in its daily update on its Twitter account, also revealed that four deaths were recorded on Wednesday bringing the total number of COVID-19 fatalities to 985.
On recoveries, the health agency said 37,304 persons who have fully recovered have so far been discharged.
Other states that recorded new infections are – FCT (62), Oyo (27), Delta (25), Rivers (20), Ondo (19), Edo (18), Kaduna (17), Enugu (12), Akwa Ibom (10), Ogun (7), Abia (6), Gombe (6), Kano (3) and Osun (3).
