Constitution Amendment: South-East Demands Rotational Presidency, Reserved Legislative Seats For Women

The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF), has congratulated Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom as he turns 60.

The forum Chairman, Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, in a statement by the forum Director -General, Dr. Emmanuel Agbo, in Abuja on Tuesday, commended Eno’s dedication to the welfare of the people of Akwa-Ibom and the transformation of the state.

Mohammed acknowledged Eno’s capacity for result-oriented leadership and firm stand for peaceful coexistence, respectively, while upholding the essence of continuity in governance, backed with prudent utilisation of resources.

Mohammed said that Eno had changed the state workers’ mindset for higher productivity through his administration’s special programmes and policies, as well restoring their confidence in service to state and the nation.

He said that Eno achieved that by prioritising the workers’ welfare in the last 11 months, as well as that of retirees through clearance of backlog of gratuities and pensions.

“His dedication to upgrading the state’s education sector is evident in the facility revamp at primary, secondary and tertiary levels.

“Worthy of mention is his drive to consolidate the past records in road construction and flood control/ reclamation, urban renewal, tourism rebirth, sanitation and water provision.

“Also remarkable are his administration’s trade and investment drive, repackaging of the security architecture and waterways safety.

“Next-level aviation boost, and his unfolding dream package on agriculture and agro-based production, food security and sustainability as well as healthcare service delivery are also remarkable,” he said.

Mohammed assured Eno of the forum’s unalloyed support at all times as he pilots the affairs of Akwa-Ibom.(NAN)
