Over 43,000 Coronavirus Cases Confirmed In Nigeria

More than 43,000 persons have tested positive for the Coronavirus infection in Nigeria.

Precisely, 43,151 cases of the infection have been confirmed in the country so far, according to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).

This followed the confirmation of 462 new cases on Friday.

According to the health agency, however, 19,565 cases out of the 43,151 have been treated and discharged.

The body, in an update on its website said one death was recorded on Friday, bringing the number of those who have died from the disease in the country to 879.

The 462 new cases are reported from 15 states and Abuja with the FCT posting the highest number.

Details of the new cases are as follows; FCT (93), Lagos (78), Plateau (64), Kaduna (54), Oyo (47), Ondo (32), Adamawa (23), Bauchi (19), Rivers (9), Ogun (9), Delta (9), Edo (7), Kano (6), Enugu (6), Nasarawa (5), Osun (1).
