The remains of former Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Abubakar Tsav have been committed to mother earth at the Wadata Cemetery Makurdi.
Tsav died on Monday afternoon at the Federal Medical Centre, FMC, in Makurdi after a protracted illness.
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, and his predecessor, Senator Gabriel Suswam, have consoled the family of late Abubakar Tsav over his death.
Gov. Ortom who, on behalf of the Benue State Government, expressed heartfelt condolences to the family, said he was shocked at the demise of the former Lagos State Police boss.
In a press statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Terver Akase, Ortom described Tsav as a gallant police officer during his years in service.
He prayed God to grant the deceased eternal rest and his family the fortitude to bear the loss.

In the same vein, former Governor of the state and Senator representing Benue North East Senatorial District, Senator Gabriel Suswam said he received the news of the death of Retired Commissioner of Police, Alhaji Abubakar Tsav with great shock.
A statement signed by his S.A Media and Publicity, Bede Bartholomew, read, “The former Governor of Benue State condoles with the family of late Abubakar Tsav on his death which was announced by his daughter via a telephone call this afternoon.”
Suswam who described the late Tsav as a courageous and determined Police Officer who stood on the path of truth, added that “the late CP Tsav was a man of his words.”
He however thanked God for the life of Tsav whom he also said was a fulfilled gentleman.
Suswam however regreted that the elder statesman passed on to be with his ancestors at a time when his counsel was most needed.
He prayed God to rest his soul and Grant the entire family consolation.
