The three main contenders in Saturday’s governorship election in Ondo state Rotimi Akeredolu, Eyitayo Jegede and Agboola Ajayi, all won their respective polling booths.

Akeredolu, the incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) won his Polling Unit 6, Ward 5, Isokun, Ijebu Owo with 413 votes against the 12 votes polled by Jegede.
The deputy governor Ajayi for no votes.
Jegede, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer polled 220 votes in his Igbogin/Isikan Ward 2, unit 9, while Akeredolu ans Ajayi scored 60 and seven votes respectively.
Ajayi, running on rhe platform of the Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) won in his polling Unit 004, Apoi Ward II, Idumado Quarters, Kiribo with 395 votes while Akeredolu won 13 votes and Jegede won five votes.
