Nurse kidnapped in Gombe released – Police

Mr. Ephraim Ajuji, a nurse who was abducted by hoodlums in the early hours of Tuesdayin Dadin-Kowa  town of Gombe has been released.

This is according to the Gombe State Commissioner of Police, Mr Shina Olukolu.

Olukolu said Ajuyi was released in the early hours of Wednesday.

Said he:  “Due to persistent pressure from security agencies, led by police operatives, the victim was released very early this morning (Wednesday).”

Ajuji works with Cottage Hospital in Dadin-Kowa town of Yamaltu Deba Local Government Area of Gombe.

His kidnappers had demanded N10 million ransom.

According to the daughter of the kidnapped nurse, Mary Ephrain, the kidnappers called around 7am Tuesday and demanded for N10 million.
